Care & Maintenance

Ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your bakeware by following these care guidelines:

Before Use

Always lightly oil silicone or PTFE (Teflon) coated pans and trays before each use. Do not “burn in” pans or trays — this can damage the coating and reduce or eliminate non-stick performance.

After Baking

Remove baked products promptly, preferably while the pan is still warm. This prevents moisture from condensing underneath, which can damage the release coating.

Cleaning & Storage

Wipe over with a damp cloth after each use.
Store in a dry area to prevent moisture damage.
Avoid the following:

These actions can permanently damage any applied coating.

Handling Tips

Use caution when handling pie tins and trays - edges may be sharp. Avoid harsh treatment when removing baked goods to prevent dents or deformation, which can affect stacking and nesting.

Stainless Steel Products

May be washed with warm soapy water, then rinsed and thoroughly dried before storage.

Perforated Trays

Wipe with a damp cloth after use. A soft brush may be used to clear holes if needed. Do not scrub — this can damage the tray.

Oil Usage & Maintenance

Avoid excessive oiling — it can cause carbon build-up, leading to product discoloration and spotting. Grants offers a re-blocking and re-coating service to help extend the life and performance of your bakeware.
